This year sees us as being able to mix ..but really i think this means, the risk is all yours to evaluate....As vulnerable person i am loathe to mix: but a losing another milestone in my now limited life, i care to not exactly throw caution to the wind but at least love and spend time with my family and perhaps devil take the hind most.. i can't live in exile as a safe hermit.

I expect many of you will agree and equally as many will disagree and choose your own options, which is good and right for you

What ever option you choose ...enjoy... and i send my warmest regards for all you all in this most supportive forum.

I agree with you ledge. I’m scared, especially for Pete, but I just can’t let another Christmas go by without being with my family. If everyone has negative lateral flow tests then we’ll meet up for Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and a happy New Year. Xxxx

Dog is a lurcher... he is saluki cross greyhound... runs like the wind.Sleeps like the dead...its all or nothing... acfually very like my son xx

Very wise and thanks, I've been feeling a little guilty in staying home alone (since family from France had to cancel their plans to spend 2 weeks with me), I have other family however, I'm too fatigued at the moment to drive the long hours to get to them so I'll just rest & cherish myself at home with my dog, light the fire, relax and not stuff myself silly - althoughI will crack open the bubbly! Have a really great time 🥂 🥳🥳🥳🥂

Pooch goes out daily... its probably the only thing that has kept me from climbing up the walls during this pandemic... have a good Christmas Mike and scruffs... and hope you have the hang of your soup maker now xxx

I can go along with your thoughts on this ledge. I would have stayed with family this year but cant go on the almost 4 hour train journey to Cardiff which only has 2 carriages and is always packed. I have just had a facetime call with my grandson who is 18 today and feel so upset I cant be with him to celebrate. Next year I am going to be with them no matter what. Like you i will put on the lights and try to reduce my chocolate lol. Happy Christmas to you and yours, love and hugs x

I agree with you , I’m very worried for my husbands sake but I’ve thought long and hard and decided to go ahead with Christmas dinner with the grandson , his wife and child . We will take all precautions and they will only be with us for a couple of hours I have cancelled a bigger get together with 8 family members between Christmas and new year (although We will see them all in small numbers for short periods over the festive season) but I’ve come to the conclusion that we really need to have some family time this year, and being fully jabbed the risk is minimal and our mental health is important too . Let’s hope we all enjoy the festive season whatever we decide to do 😊 x
