Hi everyone, who just like to introduce you all to Jasper, his a long haired Chihuahua, and he keeps me sane lol x
MY Baby: Hi everyone, who just like to... - Lung Conditions C...
MY Baby
Hi he.s lovely. I have a westy.her names bella and she.s over 10 now and i know what you mean.when i lost my husband over 8 years ago i dont know what i would have done with out her.they are a reason to carry on.are.nt they...she.s lovely...bet you spoil him rotton....lol...
ahhh I know what you mean also they are the reason to get up, I have a kizzy, will put her photo up later we rescued her and never once regretted it , she is a totally potty dog and makes us laugh everyday . What would we do without our pets........ When I first diagnosed someone very nastily said you wont be able to keep your pets... I was horrified, thankfully not the case.
Jacky is kizzy her name or is it a type of dog. At any rate look forward to seeing her photo. I think its a great thing to rescue an animal and you seem to have been well repaid for doing this with the fun she gives everyone. You would find a way to keep her, illness or not..
Jasper is 4 now,I was without a dog for 9 years,as our pepper died, and i thought i'd never want another, then Jasper came lol,His my company and play mate, and guarder of the realm ha ha ,he just seems too know when i,m un-well,even sitting on my knee while i take my nebulizer, I was told to get rid of all pets when i was diagnosed with asthma many years ago,I didn't because i@ve always had dogs even as a little girl, and the 9 years i went wthout pets, didn't make any difference, although cat and horse hair seems to start me coughing
Jasper looks gorgeous. I would love to have a dog but, as I live on my own, I don't see how I would manage to clean up. But maybe a tiny dog would be manageable. Anyone any thoughts on this? I've seen people on scooters with their dogs in tow and was quite envious.
kris I also would love to have a dog but like yourself fear the worst in the looking after a pet stakes. I think the old anxiety would take over if I couldn't manage the dog outside (i.e. the shortness of breath etc.) and having to ask for help in looking after it if horror of horrors had to go into hospital. Its a nice thought though if you make up your mind to do it and see the advantages.
Hi Poetic Lady Jasper is lovely thanks for letting us see him xx
Hi. As i said i have a little westie.were i lived before i also had a cat flap for her.and we had her for company for my husband who was bed ridden most of the time.but she made him push his self. A bit some time.as he was on oxygen 24+7 he had to use a dissabled scooter.and has i dont walk well either due to arthritus i used one also. She would quiet happly sit in the footwell and go a long the road to the shops with us or along the canal tow path.so i would say to anybody on there own. Think about it..
we got a beautiful little dog - Poppy. she's a jack russell x whippet and she's our baby!! wouldnt be without her. she's 3 years old and we got her when she was 6 weeks old and have never looked back. she is such good company and i would have been lost without her when i was living on my own before my fiance moved up, she definitely kept me sane! on the down said she does need a huge amount of exercise. me and my partner both work so i have to drop her off at my parents before work and collect her afterwards as i wouldnt leave her alone all day (so totally understand the worry of arranging care if you had to go into hospital), and there's the extra expense, not just feeding but injections, insurance and veterinary bills if ever they're ill (touch wood Poppy hasnt been but you never know and even though she's insured there's a £75 excess). Also Kennel fees. we're getting married in December and have had to book poppy and our parent's dog in for 4 days = £80 so the costs do add up. As I said, i wouldnt be without Poppy but we cant afford to get a 2nd dog - lucky mum and dad have their dog and they get along well together otherwise she wouldnt have any other doggy company!
