Not really, there are no self-diagnosis options I'm aware of. Even GP's don't always have the right answer and need to refer patients to consultants to have tests and so on.

I've been diagnosed a few years now, and I still don't know what 'level' I am supposed to be.

I didn't know there was more than one type of cpod only different stages, I have been classed as severe.

level, stage, type - I am taking it we all mean the same thing ? The only other possibility is what, within COPD, redmod has - is it bronchitis or emphysema.

There's no test, like pregnancy, which is what I thought they meant.

See a doc it is not costing you anything to have the right treatment along with a diagnosis that is not dr google taking a guess

You need to speak to a doctor to find out what type you have. Pete has bronchitis which was diagnosed in hospital over 2 years ago. I have no idea what stage he is at as he has sarcoidosis too (21 years). Make a GP appointment would be the best thing to do. xxx

Thanks to all, the only thing that the Doctor said was you have a change to copd and that it is slighty mild, but I have not seen a consultant, so I don't know if it's bronchitis or emphysema, so I quess at this stage I suppose it not much of a worry what it is, but I would like to put a label on it. so that I can be mindful of my intake of food & drink.

take care all.

I have been diagnosed with mild lung disease. The only Treatment is oxygen at night. My CT of 5 years ago and in 2015 revealed only minimal progression. The only recommendation was a follow-up CT in a year. Should I seek a second opinion. Any help would be appreciated. I am very depressed. Thanks, Carol
