A day in the life.................................................

Today started out really promising, a lovely sunny day and a visit from my sister & her daughters.

After lunch I thought I'd take a steady walk down to my local shops as I had a sudden desire for blackcurrant cordial & ice.

I only got half way when I suddenly noticed the young lady about twenty yards in front of me suddenly spin round to face me & give me a funny look !

It was only then that I realised I was breathing deeply again, and had scared her !

I think it may be time to invest in a COPD t-shirt before I get arrested for harrassing people.

Do such things exist ?, & if they do why aren't we issued them when we're diagnosed !

Apparently seeing a silly old sod of 51, 6ft tall & covered with tattoos can be very frightening, especially when he's snorting away like an old dragon !

This is all new to me, I need to be more careful methinks........................................

Poor you, but that's so funny too.

I wonder what the T-shirt might say? "The sex, drugs and rock 'n roll were fine. It was the fags that got me"

A quick action with my inhaler usually helps to quell any fears - but I can see her point!

I googled for the t-shirts, wish I hadn't now - Chronic Obsessive Parrot Disorder ???

sometimes if i manage to get to the phone in time to answer it i`m sure the person the other end thinks theyve got a heavy breather phone call in reverse lol I`ve not scared anyone out and about yet i dont think but i do get people asking me if i`d like a glass of water -- not sure whether it would help my breathing !!!

When the men came for our secondhand furniture they said to me "Have you been running around love?". I was panting by the time I opened the door. I said "No, I have a lung disease and I'm usually on oxygen". How much simpler it would have been if I had a t-shirt with the slogan -Interstitial Lung Disease Handle With Care.

Have a Good Weekend

Anything like the guys I know who shift secondhand furniture, they'd probably have just remarked that your chest looked OK to them - they're experts y'see ! ;-)
