As you say Kath a little sad, but very good as well. X
I must admit to feeling a little sad today Mavary. First mammogram since treatment is next week, and two days later is the anniversary of my surgery. Brings back bad memories. xx
Kath, is that you? I love the poems, they're realistic and true and although I've never had cancer, I can certainly relate in a sense, I don't look in the mirror unless I have to - what happened, where did I go?!!! Please don't be sad, you've come through it so far. Best wishes for next week. Libby x
Poems from within are so pure in spirit. They've not made me sad, just reflective. Wishing you well for your mammogram next week, an uncomfortable, but necessary test. x
Well poemsgalore, they are nice poems, really tear jerking. The one where did I go could fit any of us as none of us I suppose are the person we used to be before illness struck. Thank you for the poignant reminder.
That's what I thought Katie, Anyone with long term illness could use that one, whatever their health condition. xx
Oh Kath, they are lovely. As Libby said before I haven't had cancer but I watched my lovely sister in law go through treatment and can relate to the feelings expressed in them so honestly- they have made me shed a tear or two I must admit. All the best for next week, Julie xx
Best wishes for next week and thank you for sharing your experiences.Didnt know the old you but the new one seems a very thoughtful and caring person Joyce xx
We had a poetry competition on here quite a while back, Caroleoctober won with a beautiful poem, if you're reading this Carole, post it again (I have a copy but wouldn't post it without her permission). Heavens know who would win now though with sirdandy and poemsgalore, both so talented. Libby xx
I can only echo what everyone else has said. So glad I woke up long enough to read this post. One of the best ever. Two great poets with an empathetic view of life. Good luck for Tuesday Poems. - Dozy x - back to sleep now. x
It's good to have someone like sirdandy to bounce ideas from. Thanks you all for your comments and good wishes. xxx
