Good Afternoon

Well, the weather is apparently set to change for the better next week!

i know that we will all believe that when we see it!

Apparently the jet stream is set to move north above the UK (where it normally is for this time of year) and this should give us better weather.

If it does get hot please remember the top tips for hot weather information which can be accessed by going to:

Cheers

Jo

It's been a lovely day here in West Yorkshire Jo, though there have been some heavy rain clouds they hung on to their drops, thankfully.

I can't wait for the warmer weather, and will observe the precautions mentioned :)

I am smiling hugely Jo, I am so wanting some sunny weather and I am so hopeful it will be here soon :D

Still I can understand the "believe it when I see it"

;)

wishing all some fab sunshining days.

I'm off glamping to the lakes tomorrow do hoping it stays dry at least! Some sun would be a billy bonus!

Marie - you may have timed it just right as all the forecasts are looking good for the weekend and into next week! Have a lovely time and do tell us all about it when you get back - I have never tried 'Glamping' but would love to give it a go! P:)

Thanks Jo, there's nothing like a sunbeam to cheer us up! :) will remember to take care, drink lots...( of water ) and slap on the sun cream, can't wait! :)

Hi Jo

Thanks for info - I had thought ozone was good for us at the coast ? Can you clarify as this has featured on here previously and am confused.

thanks, Julie

in reply to

Hi Julie, my understanding is negative ions are what we get after the rains and ocean air.

Ozone is what we get with pollution and indicates poor air quality. I think the confusion comes because people refer to the smell of ozone after the rains, meaning negative ions. negative ions help us, and I think positive ions don't (as in ozone pollution. I think that's right but Jo may be able to clarify further.

that makes sense, thanks Zoee - my last trip to seaside was good until I could hardly walk a few steps after a sea mist chased us from the beach... almost like fog! I really struggled on the long path from beach even though now downhill, whereas had not on way to beach where it was uphill and had even scrambled up high sand dunes !

I love the warm weather but hate Humid days as thats when i really struggle..Infact i find it so much better in winter to breathe although one hates the cold..I live in the South..its rained everyday bar 3 in July where i am..Even this morning i woke up,sun was out, but now black clouds and dotting with rain..A late summer heatwave looms i think...
