Doctors to strike.

Hi Everyone

Just to let you all know (in case you haven't heard) on the 21st June all non urgent doctors will be on strike for one day.

This will not affect tests for cancer or urgent tests/care but will affect routine GP and hospital appointments.

If you have any routine appointments that day it may be worth contacting the GP/hospital to find out more.

Below is the link which has further information on this planned action.

Best Wishes

Jo

Hi

If anyone is concerned about the planned strike action and the effect it could have on your health care our Press Office would be interested to hear from you.

Call the Helpline 03000 030 555 or email enquiries@blf-uk.org and we will pass your details on.

Thanks

Mark

I support the Doctor's day of industrial action (it is not a strike) 100%. This is the first time since 1975 that such action has taken place and doctors do not take this kind of thing lightly. They have reassured us that urgent and emergency care will still be provided and that anyone turning up at a surgery who is actually sick will be seen. Despite efforts being made to turn public opinion against the doctors , I will always trust the doctor's view before that of our sensationalist press and divisive government.
