Just wanted to link up with anybody else for a bit of mutual support - about time I took a bit of control over this debilitating (at least) bi-annual disease (and apologies to anybody who has it constantly for appearing a wuss...)

Bronchitis From A Young Age - anyone else in same position?

Hello can you tell us more not about being a wuss about taking care so you have a life not a condition

Hello Dott, I do have a life most of the time, but when I get a "bronchi bout", it lays me low for days, affecting work etc. Am in mid-forties now, but have experienced bronchitis for as long as I can remember. My Pa was a heavy smoker in our family living room for the first twenty or so years of my life, and despite the "bronchi bouts", I began "socially smoking" myself at 17 (I KNOW! I KNOW! If I could go back and have a word with a teenage Vazza, I would, trust me). Flirted (ie sometimes did, sometimes didn't) with the whole smoking phenomenon for years. But finally saw sense and ditched it permanently about four years ago, and I know I could not be less interested in the whole idea, abhorrent to me now. What a fool I feel, having written all of the above down. One of my best friends died two years ago from the secondary cancer which appeared in her lungs. She did not smoke during the 25 years of our friendship. Anyway, as I said, a lot of the time I am fine, but wanted to connect with other peeps who are possibly in a similar position. Rambled on a bit there. Thanks for reading this far!
Hello David, thanks for your friendly welcome, much appreciated. If you read my reply to Dott, you will find out more about Vazza.
