A different type of painting and had problems - I painted a girl which I am used to, but the sand really did not allow for good skin colourr.
So what to do - Sea is in aback to front place to allow the IMO correct site of beach huts no girl well I see two hard working black cartoon cats inneed of chilling by the sea side so two Chubby Black cats got the invite.

That made me smile. I haven't seen many black cats by the sea, but why not. Essex must be the beach hut capital of England- they're all over the place here. The kitties could sneak inside one if it gets too hot. Chris xxx

Just a thought, Ern. How about painting the sea from the top of the canvas and then turning it around to paint the rest of the picture. That way you would be painting your sea as normal - and your seas are always very good!It might not work but may be worth a try.
In Crete, there were often cats on or around the beach so it's taken me back to happy holidays.
My cat thinks all paintings should have her in them - but she's ginger so it wouldn't work on this one, would it! Lol!

These cats look mischievous ones too. Excellent work Ern, I haven’t been next to the sea in years, can’t get my rollator over the soft sand, too hard for me. My husband bought a golf buggy to do up for me so hopefully I’ll get there again, one day
