back home from 3 days in hospital, what a night mare, i was woken every hour for blood pressure test, that's when i could drop off ,i was in a single bed room, but the man next door in a single room, was shouting and screaming from morning to night , there was two security guards there all the time. so, they have sent me home in the same condition i was in, nothing more they can do , just keep on nebulising and take it easy moan over .

That sounds horrible, that’s no good if you’re trying to recover or at least get some decent sleep occasionally. I hope you can catch up now that you’re back home 👍

Horrid. When I was on a ward I was lucky as there were only 4 of us and most were pretty quiet all the time. I hated the regular testing, though. What I particularly resented was their habit of waking us up around 6am for the tests although breakfast never appeared until at leat 8.30. Once it was 5.30am. That really irked me. Hope you are getting lots of rest and sleep now you are back home.

I have just finished a stint on a VIRTUAL ward at my home. They deliver a machine to my home plus thermometer, blood pressure cuff and o2 finger reader.

Have to input my stats x3 a day, plus answer Qs about phlegm colour, how I feel etc etc and every morning my figures are reviewed by hosp team ,cons, resp nurse etc.

They phone after each reading if they are not happy, to re do or check how I am feeling.....the phone calls were a nuisance when I was poorly, but better than being in hospital I guess.Ditto, taking the readings .

At one stage in the evening they suggested A&E due to my temp, but I took paracetamol and managed to get it down

The team decide when to discharge you and they come for the stuff.

Worked well for me,better than hospital

How people get better in hospital beats me, there is nothing like your own home. Glad you are back now and hopefully you will get better now x

Sorry to hear Whit. There was a time when hospitals were meant for treatment and also recuperation. Nowadays it seems to be bedlam. 🙁 Take it easy and I hope the warmer weather improves your health. xx 🙋

Oh whit ...how awful!!! Sleep is essential for recovery and it's something you just can't get in hospital! For me earplugs are an absolute must....apart from patients I find the nurses can be pretty noisy in their conversations too,!!!
