How is everyone dealing with this cold weather? I have a streaming cold, I hate a runny nose but no cough at least.

I have just done a simple picture took me just over an hour..

Thank you Carole. Not really a sucker for colds, but December a cold ended up with Doxy and Pred, thus far not as bad as that this time.. Xxx

🥵Beautiful painting - your colours give a 'happy' vibe!! I was in hospital in December with an infection, then got a nasty cold 2 weeks after i got out, but OK now - I'm hoping thats me for the winter, but the weather is so changeable 🌧️❄️ - hope you feel better soon x

That's some lovely colours and considering you are full of cold you did a very nice painting, I hope you feel better soon and it's short lived cold .this weather has made me stay in the warm a lot more this week but the sun was out on Tuesday so had a ride in the campervan for a picnic with a view for a change of scenery

Are either of those cottages for sale Ern? The're so pretty, really fancy living there particularly today, it's freezing! I have a runny nose/cold too but like you, luckily no cough. Still struggling with this flare up though, being going on for months. Hope yours clears up soon, better weather on the way next week 🌞xx

Oh no, you poor thing hun🤗. I'm in flare now and having kidney problems due to uti infection. Had to ring 111 earlier. Been in agony since yesterday. I got told off for delaying ringing them. I felt like an inconvenience that's why. I'm exhausted. Something I'm sure you understand. Please look after yourself .

Thank you Dottie - Anne just asked me to check weather on BBC because of her cactus, a low of -8 will be reached according to the BBC site. I am wrapped up, don't want to risk a flare. xx

Ern - I have an idea. Have you ever thought of painting an aquarium? In this way you cloud shapes could become fish, with exotic colourings (pinks, mauves, and all sorts) and shapes. Even the water could show movement with your lovely shading. And of course the foreground might show plant life. You could also throw in a hiding sea-horse. In fact you run riot with the canvass. And I think you should number them as I can see you selling these for a good price! Yes, I'd be in the queue. 😜

Anne suggested the same yesterday David - I could do it but would be a project as I would have to plan and practice. I will def take idea on board and see how small i can paint accurately. We kept tropical fish for years, I will work on that one David.

Thank you primrose123 - Yes be glad when the dripping is over. I paint summer scenes even in winter, although I am going to have to do one soon. it's good to dream about the sun in winter, that's what keeps us going x
