I wrote a couple of months ago about my lovely adopted ginger boy Benji winning the Leeds and Wakefield RSPCA Christmas card competition, and here he is with the dog and rabbit winners - their three Christmas Cards for 2024. The photos submitted were painted by Leeds artist Vicky Armitage. All three were adopted last year from the Leeds RSPCA. I am very proud of him, he is a big ginger hunk.

Benji's RSPCA Christmas card
oh that is wonderful. You must be very proud. I will go on their website to order some cards. I love a ginger cat and have been adopted by a feral one who appears for his tea everyday. I have foxes too and they’re terrified of his spitting and slapped chops he gives them if they come near his food! Take care 🦊x
Thanks Bingofox, you can order from the Leeds and Wakefield branch of the RSPCA. The pack has 9 cards, three of each for £5. Any chance your ginger might move in over time, or is it a happy arrangement? Must be great to see the foxes so close too😽😁
I will do that. Ty. It breaks my heart to see him waiting for me to put food out for him. He’s got a magnificent coat but obviously doesn't keep him dry. My pug would curl up with him but my frenchie tries to chase him off, he has none of it and the frenchie gets a slap from him. As soon as I appear in the garden tho he scarpers off, soon back for his food tho. He’ll eat anything, although I buy cat food for him, and has been coming for about a year. My grandson has outgrown his playhouse down my garden so hopefully he gets some refuge there. The foxes are amazing. Started with one but he told his mates and have about 5 regulars I recognise. They have a bed under the lean-to and are very pampered. I know some say don’t feed as they lose their hunting territory and skills but they’re never going to go hungry in my garden. One will let me feed them sausages out the window, hand to mouth and waits for curtains to open in the morning. Bless. Take care 🦊xx
You are a great animal lover Bingo and hugely kind!! They will all be safe and well fed in your garden xx

Hi what a lovely post. Congratulations Benji and I’m so pleased you’ve found a happy home. We have a gorgeous ginger boy adopted in Crete 17 years ago. He’s had a very interesting life but enjoying retirement in East Sussex xxx
