Well before my picture - I will give a medical update.
I go into hospital next Monday to have my Riged Cystectomy - or maybe !!
I was in bed weekend and got a call from urology - I have to go back to "Pre Op" as something is not right with thetests I had. Took them long enought, I had my Pre Op a while ago.
My eyes - No injection for three months, musical eye infection - Got eye drop AB to las 14 days - I have Red Eye sticky infection. My eye looks like I borrow one from Count Dracula.
I had no appointment but got a text saying don't forget appointment eye clinic Monday 04th - 5-30.
I go on today and said forget it, I don't drive when dark, my eyes dazzle with what I have and I am not having an injection while eye is in a bleed and I take bllod thinners.
So I did a simple country scene for a painting. Sorry over long intro, but saves a seperate thread.

Hoping you get to go to your appointment on Monday and that your eye gets better soon. You’ve done really well with your beautiful painting and the colours are lovely.
You are a bit of a soldier Ern. Doesn't sound pleasant at all. What I don't get is your ability to paint such charming scenes when you put up with all sorts of health problems. Anything to do with the eyes or below the belt is a bugger. We have no option but to trust the doctors but nonetheless we have a voice and an opinion of our bodies that we can express if we are strong minded. I salute you and wish you a smooth ride! I was at UCLH this morning seeing one of my favourite patients, a 95 year old American guy,one of the most handsome men I've ever seen. He and his wife had visited New York and were returning to London on the Queen Mary when felt ill and "collapsed". He's been seeking recovery for nearly 4 months. His wife tells me today they have the green light for discharge and have arranged ambulance and flight back to his home in Florida where he will have rehabilitation and hopefully recover enough to return to home. I've grown quite attached to him.
Ern I hope you have the resilience to get through the procedures and that there is positive news on the horizon pray. Just gaze upon those beautiful clouds!
Thankyou Greenthorn - To be fair to Urology, they can't help me having a pre med thatwasless than 100% needed. I do get a re test on Wednesday, Pre opcould have let me know sooner, that was my only beef.
The eye clinic is another matter - Used to go every 4 weeks, if I needed and injection I got one, £600 a shot.
Things have changed - 2 months ago I had sticky eye and I had to tell then, het injected with that and you end up in ICU. Last time I wend different staff and I got treatment, Communication seems to be out off date.
I think you do a great job with your patient visits. it takes some dreartness from life on a ward. Wow 95 and abourd the Queen Mary, that guy knew how to live - Hopefully he will get backto Florida.. Despite him leaving I bet you are rooting for him to make it back to Florida. That was nice story Greenthorn.
If I get the green light on Wedneaday David, I will have resiliance come Monday and if all goes well, I will be home in time for tea,
Thanks so much for another lovely piece of art, Ern! Water lilies, swans and ducks in foreground are a delight and especially the purple you've used for the hills in the background with shading, as well as the clouds, lend a dramatic effect to the whole piece. Really sorry you're having a rough time with all else. Clever you to have the sense and ability in your artistic ventures at the same time. Sending warmest wishes for all the tough stuff you're going through. Crossed fingers and toes for Monday. 💐💐🌹 xxxx
Wishing you all the best with both forthcoming treatments once you can access them. Your painting is very cheerful and pretty. I do enjoy seeing them. I hope painting them gives you respite from your health issues, although I imagine it’s not easy to paint when you are struggling with your eyesight. Thank you for sharing your painting with us.
Thank you rosco59 - I am lucky to have art, it does help. My eyes have been put back 3 weeks, which is good and alllows me to get Monday gone,. You are welcome, I like to share.
Hopefully you will be able to get your op done and I wish you luck and a speedy recovery, you are certainly going through it at the moment what with your eyes also being infected and still able to give a lot of time for a lovely painting on top .you are an amazing person who is making everyone happy with your work .I wish you well
Thank you B0xermad for your kind comments - What's happened is everything seems to have gone wrng at once,at least now bar the op, I have newappointments.
Well you’ve done an excellent job with this picture Ern, it’s absolutely perfect, Lillie’s, ducks, swans a fantastic background. Just brilliant. Hope Monday goes ahead for you and your eye sounds dreadful and painful so really hope that calms down soon too. Good luck Ern , we keep soldiering on with this war inside of us .
Sorry you are going through all this. If only hospital departments spoke to each other it would make things that much easier for us. I hope your op goes smoothly. PsYour painting is gorgeous, colours are stunning! Xx
Thank you Val - Once I would have took this in my stride better But this in particuylar my eyes is something else, I am lucky I have Anne and my pinting.x
