Chest infection or not?

I've had a bad chest and pains in my back for a few days. I had a pre op appointment at the hospital two days ago for gallbladder surgery. I asked the nurse could they listen to my chest to see if I had the start of a chest infection but they refused ands said I had to see my GP. I explained that I have an emergency pack at home but I just struggle to tell if I have an infection or not. So I went to see GP the next day and he said my chest is perfectly clear. He listened to my chest with the stethoscope over my thick sweatshirt. I still feel rubbish. Should I go back

Hi Lusciouslynda .

My gut feeling is that if you don't feel right, you probably aren't. When is your surgery? I think if you feel like rubbish then definitely go back to get yourself checked out. Any other symptoms besides the pain?

I'm sorry you're struggling.

Warm wishes,

Yes. I'm always feeling tired but nothing like this. I have no energy whatsoever when it hits me. Thanks for listening,by the way.😊

Definitely sounds like you have a bug. Feeling out of the ordinary exhaustion is pretty telling. Please take care of yourself Lynda. xx

Yes if you dont feel right go back. Infections are not always easy to pick up and can easily be missed. You know yourself best. It may be an exasperation of your condition without an infection but best to make sure. i hope you get sorted soon
