has anyone had the RVS injection?
Vaccination : has anyone had the RVS... - Lung Conditions C...
Vaccination
My husband had his vaccination.
Best jab ever no reaction not even sore arm .
Same here - no reaction at all and for the first time in a few years, when I caught a cough a while later, though it affected my chest and caused asthma symptoms I recovered without needing antibiotics. I also tried taking a tonic for the first time when I started getting wheezy and the next morning I was so much better. So I’m not certain whether or not it was the tonic, the RSV jab or a combination of both that did the trick.
Hi Good morning yes I have had mine . It was done at the GP surgery after my asthma review. I was due for the review and nearly cancelled as I have a broken leg and hobbling along was slow . But I decided to go as the surgery has lifts etc . I mentioned it to the nurse and she said she could do it then . I was fine no arm soreness or any other effects . Hope it’s going to help during the winter .
Yes, I had the RSV vaccination. Absolutely no side effects, not even a sore or red arm.
Yes I have. No problems with it. It is the only one I'm having this year. No flu or COVID. Last COVID upset one of my lungs so no and the flu is only 44 to 46% protection. So in my mind not enough to put more rubbish in my body. Just my opinion mind
Hi I had a sore arm for a couple of days but a small price to pay! The nurse said she believes that in a few years it will be rolled out to a wider audience
I cheekily asked my consultant on Tuesday just gone. He said to youhg but said he would be writing to our gpto say he wanted me to have injection. So really pleased.
Yes I had it. No sore arm or any other side effects. I had a very bad respiratory infection last winter that resulted in a worsening of my COPD so I was keen to protect myself as much as I can.
Yes I had mine in September. No side effects - not even a sore arm.
I contracted RSV after a hospital admission last year which went on to pneumonia. I felt rotten for weeks- believe me, you don't want RSV - get protected!
hi yes l have had the r s v ...and the flu vaccine now nursing a very bad chest infection having taken antibiotics and steriods !!
No still waiting to be contacted by GP despite my phoning several times. I am almost 80 and getting very frustrated as other surgeries in my area have done theirs.
You need to keep pressing for it, it's only available from 75 up to age 79!
May I suggest you email the surgery with all the salient facts re your age etc. Usually harder for them to ignore stuff that you put in writing. Very unfair of them. Let us know how that goes for you.
Will call my surgery to have RSV in a couple of weeks by which time I will be eligible!! xx
No email address to contact my surgery but I have put in a complaint form (which had to be collected from the surgery).
Hope that works. You could in any case write/type a letter and print and send by snail mail or take it in and ask for it to go on your records. Or use the GP app if you have it. Good luck with it all. xx
I have had it, no reaction at all. I was 73 but I live in Texas 🐞
I was offered it this year, looked it up and not made my mind up yet.
Yes I have had the RSV Vaccine this month as under 80. No ill effects noted.
I am about to cancel the appointment as it is a MRNA product. I asked the GP practice if it was and they took nine days to phone me back with an answer. That as much as anything made me wonder what is going on here.
