My Update on Breathing and 02 SATs...

Thank you all that replied to my post - My SATS are not to blame for my Breathlessness - But something is and it's being sorted.

I went to see my GP and my 02 SATs are normal for me, They go to 89 and even lower, but not consistently. I normally am 92 at the moment - but as I say can go lower.

I am glad of that outcome. I really did not want to be on Oxygen.

She was concerned with my breathing and I did get a good examining - Although COPD and Asthma can cause thatm she has it down as anaemia as it could also be cause by one of my heart coditions. Of which I have three,

I will be having an echo as I have 2 valve problems which could be a cause of breathing. also Angina and AF.

I had for last 18 months or so iI tried to manage without using a resue pack, silly I know but Dr has put and end to that, and sent a script to chemist for one.

I have to see a Physio also , thats another story.

Your GP seems to be very thorough Ern which is good and she sounds supportive of you and your health issues. No oxygen is what you wanted so that’s something.

AF is horrible on its own without other heart issues too. Hoping things improve for you and good luck with the physio.😳xxx🤞🏼🩷❤️

Thank you Carole - She really is a star ad you always feel she is on your side, No oxygen is a plus, Amioderon would have had to go, and that is the treatment for my AF, as you say is horrible.

At least I have a plan now to sort out my breathing. xxx :-)

sassy59 in reply to Ern007

👍🤞🏼l only take Bisoprolol for my AF and Rivaroxaban as an anticoagulant. Pete just has the Rivaroxaban.

I wish you well Ern,,,,xxxx🙏🏻

Ern007 in reply to sassy59

I wish I could take Bisoprolol Carole, Amioderon I was given for VT before AF - It's effective but can cause damage, my thyroid wrecked with Amioderon. - but that's the safest for me. I used to take 200mg, but it's beed reduced to 100mg - I did not like Riveroxiban at first, but got used to it now.

I wish you well also Carole :-) xxxx

I’ve read about Amioderone but don’t like the sound of it. Shame Bisoprolol isn’t suitable. Pete and l are both used to Rivaroxaban now too. Take care xxx😘

Much of my breathlessness issue was resolved when my anaemia and paroxysmal AF were treated, so I'm hoping for great results for you.

So glad you don't have to be worrying about oxygen, but if that time ever comes, your GP will no doubt make sure it's the right thing for you. She sounds brilliant!

Sometimes, we try to soldier on as don't want something else added into the mix to complicate things further, but it is best to involve your GP when they are as good as yours.

Onward and upward now!

xx Moy

Ern007 in reply to MoyB

Thank you MoyB - I am being treat for anaemia and AF - I am having blood tests Friday, It;s some from Astha.COPD but she is sending me for an echo. as my Valves could be causing some of the breathing, plus a 24 hour ECG . Yes I needed to see her,and you say "now onwards and upwards."

Hi Ern007, your health list sounds like mine just different illnesses except the lung ones. I am on the physio list at present for lung physio lncase I need an op after the radiotherapy. My doctor is on my side like you and always smiles. She is to be my long term named GP since my other one retired. I like you find the stats confusing at times but no oxygen as yet. Although the new oxygen canisters are much more geared to keeping you mobile. Good luck with the physio they are usually very thorough about health and wellbeing. Heres a good sign even the men at my practice reccomend the named doctor I have. Plus she can use a computer while talking to you. So keep going to yours she maybe the best in town so to speak. 👍
