Could you have bronchiacatisis? My dad had what they used to call COAD or chronic obstructive airways disease which is as we know COPD is nowadays , I think u need more info off your doctor shadow.

I recently had an X-ray and my dr rang to discuss the result she said it showed I have a small amount of damage showing boarderline chronic disease , this doesn’t appear to explain how breathless I am , so I too am confused by this , she’s going to do some more investigations to see if we can find out why I’m so breathless now I’m worried incase I have heart disease 😳😱

You need to ask your consultant for a proper diagnosis. It could be from a lot of causes, asthma, small airways disease, bronchiectasis or something else, to do with the bronchioles.

Emphysema is to do with the destruction of walls of the alveolae, the little airsacs where the gas exchange takes place. There is also a loss of elasticity hence you can get "long lungs/hyperinflated lungs"

To be honest I feel like giving up with the medics I always seem to go in circles I was given a scan to see if I was suited for LRS but when it came back minimal emphysema that was thrown out the door to be honest I think he was shocked by the scan and just said to me my breathlessness is prob my airways due to my numbers I'm 32% according to Spirometry but have a good improvement with salbutamol ?so Ive prob got Acos I'm on Trelegy and its not helped me Even before actual COPD I could only ever blow 250 on the peakflow metre I have become virtual housebound always ill with my upper bits Sinus ect it is making me give up xx

I understand it is best to use advise from Chest Physician, but does anyone have feed back on best treatment for small airway disease?
