I have asthma and COPD - at the most moderate and the respiratory nurse took me off Fostair and put put me on Trimbow last year. Its got 3 elements in or something and is also better if you have asthma too.

At first I didn't notice much difference but over time it is definitely better and so is my breathing. I also don't wake up in the middle of the night either with an asthma attack which is such a relief. Touch wood.

Funny I had my COPD check last Wednesday and the nurse mentioned there are 3 in this category including Trimbow and Trelogy but can't remember the name of the other one and they all do the same job.

So my advice is give it a few months and you should see a difference.

One thing is though I started getting a small red rash on my arm which the nurse said is due to age (I am 70) as well as the inhaler and it wouldn't make any different being changed to another preventer.

Hope this helps a bit.

Hello, definitely didn't work for me as I nearly passed out so breathless with it and constantly felt like I had flu all the time. I hope it works for you chook as it's supposed to be a good one, just not for everyone. Good luck 👍 😉

I have been on Trimbow for three years now and the only problem I have had is oral thrushh if I don't do a proper mouth cleanse afterwards.

in reply to Tykelady

I will be aware of oral thrush. That is awful!

Hi discoballs (great name!), I've been on the lower dose Trimbow for just over a year and have gone from being on 24/7 oxygen to ambulatory (and not much of that needed) so I can only praise it wholeheartedly! Also, I have had no side effects at all :)

I really hope it suits you too, all the best, Laurie xx

I wanted to be discoball but someone has that name - :/ I was a professional DJ for decades and the smoke certainly got to me! Having said that I have had asthma since about 1956.... I hope I get such good results. I'm quite fit for my age considering a couple of illnesses. Thank you for the kind words. David 🌹

I worked in pubs for years (it fitted in well with the kids) so I know what you mean about the smoke.

Good luck! Xx

in reply to leo60

I understand on pubs! I have been the licensee of two wonderful pubs in my time ... 1987 - 1994 fun times but lots of coughs and colds.

Thank you for your replies. I'm on day 2 now and it certainly tastes different. I have been on Trelegy Ellipta for a few years but have been recommended to move to Trimbow. I will see. David :)

Hi I was given a trimbow inhaler last week and I was coughing up a small amount of mucus with blood for 3 days I do have a chest infection as well , so can’t really tell if it’s the inhaler or the infection but seemed a coincidence. Doctor advised not to use it any more. I hope it works for you. Issy

in reply to Issy22

Thank you Issy. I will be aware. D

I am under the Chest Clinic at my local hospital, I have severe COPD and they said Trimbow is the best Inhaler they can give me. So I hope it works well for you.

I've given up and let my GP know. I am ok as was and really disliked trimbow as it played me up quite a bit. And so it's back to Trelegy ellipta and keeping on with Easyhaler I've had asthma all my life and am doing ok at 72 yo.
