Northern Lights - This is as light as I could get the painting. New camera did not help, with or without flash.

Great painting Ern, are there people looking at the lights in the background? xxx

Thank you Nula 2 - thet are you what you want them to be. could be very distant trees. Why they are there is to create a sense of distance. xx
Reply (1)Report
Ah thank you. To me they are people watching the lights 🙂👍xxx

Well Nula2 Thank You, - They could be people I suppose people would create the same effect. xx

I like the idea that it's people looking at the lights with a shared sense of wonderment 😊xxx

I had wondered the same thing. I like the explanation that they’re whatever you want them to be. To me, they’re a herd of reindeer.

How wonde4ful that you have painting as a creative expression. The only thing creative I can think of is getting rid of STUFF. Some of this is not wanting ny kids to have to deal with it when i'm gone, but more is just how GOOD it feels to have less stuff around me!

Thank you. I like to get rid of stuff, I don't ever seem to get there. I take your point, I like to make sure there are no loose ends.

I like it a lot, Ern. I would love to see the northern lights but too far south here. Mind you I hope we don’t have similar snowy weather next week!

Thank you Threecats, I agree, no snow for real. I have another I painted and the sky is bluer and is clearer, I will post that in the future .

Thanks for sharing this Ern.its v welcome.I've seen photos people have posted recently,on social media, of glimpses locally in high spots, of the wonderful auraura borealis.
The best view of the space station and constellation i had,was a few yrs ago, high up in the mountains,at a friend's house in Spain.
Yr painting reminded me of that xx
