Hi I promised to let you kind people know when I had my lung bulla removed, it happened on Friday all went well and I came home on the Sunday I’m taking carbocisteine to make phlegm less sticky and easier to cough up, but I’m coughing an awful lot and there is no phlegm just pain where operation was done

Hoping this will resolve itself (soon)

Lyn

Morning, I wonder if you could ring the consultant's secretary, ask her to find out if this is normal. Best wishes for a good recovery lynisa48

Glad you've ot the op behind you lynisa48. Bear in mind that Carbocysteine doesnt suit everyone. It didnt work for me, and I know there are others here the same. It just made me a bit asthmatic - you could ask your consultant about that if it carries on the same, via their secretary as Peege suggests. Good luck! :) :)
