Good morning Redrum46. I have never used it. But I hope it works for you and you feel better soon. Keep warm and drink plenty. Temperatures are starting to drop now a little. Take care. Brian

Yes, used that one. Assume it's the right AB for the bug you have. Did you have a sample analysed by the hospital?

I used it and it kicked the peudomonas into touch! You have to be careful of your achilles tendons, if I remember correctly. They can snap. Any pain or discomfort in your heel, stop the med immediately and call the doctor for advice.

Make sure you read the patient info leaflet.

Hi - I use Ciprofloxin for 2 weeks when ever I have a Bronchiectasis ’Flare Up, ( always keeping 2 week emergency supply at home

It seem to be the only Drug that works for ( been using it 3 years+) - do not seem to get any ‘side affects’

FYI - I am currently taking it for another week - has reduced my Sputum / Coughing, sleeping better

Best wishes…

Ciproflixoxacin has become my antibiotic of choice for my emergency pack of meds - has always worked well for me (so far, at least!) and with very minimal side effects. Probably depends on the specific bug but I think it’d be worth trying?

Good luck and hope you’re soon much better!

Did you bring a lot of sputum up with it it’s my second day and iv never had so much up like this

I’m maybe not much help to you on this - I have “dry “ Bronchiectasis and only really produce sputum when I have a full-blown chest infection, otherwise a dry cough. You could be right, that the Cipro actually caused some of the sputum to be brought up (which would be good for me) but I’ve nothing “normal” to compare it with. Could someone else help on this, please?
