Since last Wednesday my asthma has flared up. I have been taking regular reliever (mart regime fostair 100/6)every 4 hrs. I have had tight chest and peak flow dropped to 350/500. Although I not making my top peak flow as my lungs are still healing from pneumonia. Now I woke up with soreness in my diaphragm I recognised as the muscles that normally not used for.
On a reducing course of prednisolone because of pneumonia. Post 4 week since release from hospital.
So I will be ringing 111 today and see what they advise.
No boxing day walk for me then.

Thanks all I didn't ring 111 as I didn't feel that bad. However today I have a face to face appointment with GP this afternoon. Feeling like I could be wheezing today.
Glad to hear you're feeling bettter today. Asthma attacks are no fun at the best of times and when you're still recovering from pneumonia it's even more worrying. However, you're on the mend, by the sound of it. Long may it stay that way! xx Moy
Thanks Guy. Didn't make to the doctors came down with food poisoning and it flared up another long term condition. When I feel better I will get back to the doctors.
Hi all strangely enough the day I was going to go to see a GP, peak flow has improved. So I back to blowing 400 without my inhalers (first thing in the morning). So it just goes to show that regular reliever is all you need to stop your asthma flaring.
