Another Autumn Painting....

Well what to post ? I thought of a spooky one but not quite near Halloween yet.

So what to post - Thinking of the last painting, I remember painting one with similar color I painted after just starting paining again.

So a simple Autumn one again - Shame it's that season, means summer has gone.

Thank you Carole. Problem with autumn it heralds winter - however it does provide lots of color, reds,golds, browns and yellows ...A beuatiful season in it's own right and gives us halloween.

Autumn brings lovely colours but I don't like it because it heralds winter which always seems to last ages.

I once read that a person's favourite time of year is when they are born. What a load of codswallop. Hubby's birthday is November and he hates the month!

Oh dear! Our daughter and youngest son were born on November (5th and 9th) and we were daft enough to get married on the 3rd. 😂 xxx

Well you are not wrong, winter follows autumn , but then spring follows winter - Although I believe winter should not be allowed..

I love the autumn for its colours which show up in your lovely painting Ern, athough I like all the seasons. Its a lovely bright sunny day here in Manchester this morning and hope its the same where you are x

Oh really lovely painting Ern 🙂and again brings back good memories. This one reminds me of a bridge across the local rife and was part of one of my favourite walks. The waterway goes from near where I live down to the beach and I always crossed that little bridge. You're a very talented man. Take care😊👍xxx

Lots of lovely things happen in Autumn Ern especially the colours. Winters seem to be getting not as harsh as I remember as a child though I have moved from the midlands to the north west and where I live winter isn’t too bad X

I agree watergazer - Autumn is nice for color. I think last winter in the North West were I live was pretty cold - I had damage for the first time on my Palms and lost a Cordyline - but overall I agree winters used to be much harsher, snow used to be a problem, now it's hardly seen (I am not sorry about that) We survive though and after winter comes spring x

That is a very pleasing painting Ern. Once again I am drawn to the patterns: the leaves on the trees, the stones in the bridge and the leaves on the ground. Its a kind of wholesome narrative, a kind of bonding. The use of contrasting colours is great. Have I said this before - there's a touch of Matisse here. Always a pleasure to view your paintings.

Thank you Greenthorn - I like color I think that is why I paint galaxy and planets. ]

Matisse - I liked his - "The Open Window" the most, full of character.

I love the colours and simplicity of this one, Ern. The gentle side of autumn before the storms come along and rip all the leaves off the trees. Like others here, not looking forward to the winter but it makes me appreciate the spring, my favourite time of year, all the more😊

Yes spring is special - I buy bulbs now to flower in spring. Of course spring is the herald of summer, my favourite season due to the warmth - For painting spring and autumn have more to inspire, in particular autumn
