An Abstract with lots of colour and a Spring Spatter - two separate paintings.
The abstract is what you want to to be The five green imaged could have been a consequence of walking widdershins round the magic tree/ or not.
Important - I have a n almost finished resurrection easter painting but, the days falls on Easter Sunday and not many people will be on - So if nobody minds, be best to post it Wednesday. It is a biblical type painting showing the tomb open - Will be called. "He has risen"

Thank's Carole. Yes the one on the left Anne likes, The abstract is a bit of fun. Widdershins means going the wrong way round. I have very little to do on the Easter painting, Very unusual. xxxx
yes i know all about witches Ern007!!!! that famous john waterhouse painting with her walking widdershins round that cauldren, the name of the painting escapes. me, ---- hang on while i get my broomstick out and my cloak and pointy hat, i will fly off to the coven and look up the painting in the Book of Shadows.. then i shall fly back and feed the familiars! mine is a black cat..... so mote it be!!!π
John Waterhouse - "The Magic Circle" ? Not sure about the "widdershins connection" I would keep out the the Book of Shadows - Full of portions, spells and wiccans - Enough to make teeth chatter
Hi Ern. I love both of these paintings. Well done. π They are both very colourful, but for some reason, Iam drawn to the widdershins round magic tree. π§π§Ή Itβs very mystical. Thank you for sharing them. π
It took me AGES to learn to crochet!π I did worshops, you tube, friends helping etc. Still not that good but I have just done a slow stitching workshop and enjoyed it. I very occasionally still dress make but quickly run out of steam. I like embroidery etc than I can do as and when I please. You can get lovely cross stitch kits if you do decide to try that.
Yr spring splatter is π lovely.just like my sons flower bed last Yr.yr clouds are perfect too. I also love the black canvas one, very surreal.very clever how translucent some are.Yr such a gd, versatile artist xx
Iβm sure they will both be appreciated. Thank you for sharing your talent. One of the things I enjoy about being part of this group, aside from the good advice I have received, is seeing the lovely photos and paintings and reading the wonderful poems.
Love these, Ern. The detail on all the different types of flowers on the painting on the left is brilliant! And love the all-encompassing nature of the tree on the right. Both very different, very good. Another great start to the day. Thank you! xx ππ
Such beautiful paintings Ern. I love the colours on the black canvas but my favourite is the spring splatter. It reminds me that brighter days are coming. Not today though as the rain is relentless!
Lovely paintings again Ern007. Hope your keeping as well as possible I have a Facebook friend who is a big Elvis fan and he does mainly Elvis drawings and others as well. He is excellent and has some of his drawings in Gracelands
Thank you - Up in the air at the moment. The latest Flatback syndrome along with Cervical degeneration is giving me problems, I am managing though and making a none urgent appointment with GP. It's Que Sera Sera .at the moment.
I feel spring is coming and that makes me happy, donβt ask me why Iβm thinking of the song , βthe mulberry bush β on the second one. I love both of them, well done Ern.
Those are gorgeous paintings Ern. The magical tree on black background is stunning. The other reminds me of our wildflower garden thing at our allotment (before the squirrels and fox family trod all over it !!! ).π.
Lots of love and hugs from a very soggy Birmingham!! xxxx
Hi Ern, I like both paintings but the spring splatter is my favourite of the two. Made me smileπ. Look forward to the Easter painting. Sounds different yet againπππxxx (NB I've never heard of the word "widdershins")
Hi Nula. Thought most would like spring splatter, lot of colour. Easter painting is how I imagined it really was. on Easter Sunday. It is so different to what I normally paint, I will do a traditional Easter painting later. "Widdershins" means going the wrong way round a circle pr on this case round the tree, x
Indeed - Are you refiring to "Newcastle witch trials, " - There was a poem "The man who walked widdershins round the kirk" - Mine was round a magic tree lol
Yes the Newcastle witch trials book, thats why I had a witch and broomstick emoji π When you called your painting widdershins, it made me think of witches in a forest . I was looking for the cauldron π
I think widdershins is a versatile word, another meaning is "in a direction contrary to the sun's course, " and considered unlucky. Why I chose that word. many years ago I versed a poem with "widdershins" included in a spooky way for my eldest daughter to use at school. My painting I had in mind, dancing widdershins turned them into the green objects. Not sure it worked [-)
I didnβt know the other meaning. I guess you learn something every day. Thank you Ern . The widdershins one is still my favourite painting out of the two , even if itβs unlucky. x
Ah thanks for explaining what widdershins means - it's a great word ππ. Really looking forward to the Easter painting now if it reflects what you imagined happened. It will be interesting to see. π. Take care β€οΈxxx
Yes this is a brilliant forum but the site itself has a lot of blips! You're clever doing the faces by hand! (my emojis aren't working - was going to put an amazed face) xxx
Your paintings remind me of some of the greeting cards sold in shops. Your high standard is just as good and designs are excellent. Have you tried turning your art work into cards? Keep painting!
Thank you Spanielblue - I am a bit long in tooth for that, but I appreciate the comment. Strange others say the same almost. last painting a suggestion that painting would look good on a Moonpig Card.
