Why get my lung cramps
Hi. This is not an easy one - You say you have cramps in your "lung area" - I noted you have "COPD, Athsma and lung and liver disease"
It could be cramps in the tissue that surrounds your lungs. You have Asthma/COPD if you are breathing hard, that could have affected muscle and causing cramp.
I really believe you need to talk to you GP - It's getting on your nerves, but that apart, see him/her so anything else can be eliminated.
Sorry no better help.best of luck.
I also think you must seek medical help, 111 or GP as soon as possible
Hello there. I don't know that lungs actually cramp up but what you felt could possibly be lung pain. This can be caused by a number of things like an infection, pleurisy, tuberculosis, pneumonia or an pulmonary embolism. Apparently asthma can also cause pain. Alternatively, you could have sprained your pectoral muscle. I do this sometimes and it can feel like cramp. Like everyone says you should not ignore this. Please make an appointment to see a doctor especially if this is sudden and a new symptom. I hope you feel better soon. 🙂👋
Medications can cause it. I have severe lungs need transplant.Nebulizer cause it flare ups coughing violently cause it. Just the hard work causes trauma to the chest. I have noticed I get it more on steroids. Feel like everything is cramping in that area and getvthe shakes from too much ventolin. Can be many things check with consultant.
Best wishes. Hope your doctor can find a speedy solution.
if you are talking about the spasms at the base of your ribs I get these. When seeing a physio about my spinal stenosis she asked if I get these. She said they are the nerves from the spine causing it. The way to get rid is to lay on your back and lift your arms at the shoulders so you separate the ribs from the diaphragm. Apologies if this is not what you meant.
Hi thereI have lung disease / bronchectasis and asthma.
I often get cramps / spasms that are really painful that can be extremely sharp. I spoke with my consultant many times and he said it is common for asthmatics to feel it as we often struggle with our breathing I was given pain meds to help when it's very bad .
However he did also detect an infection a few times.
So he advised me to always contact him if the pain is reoccurring not to take it lightly.
I do hope this helps. 🙏
If the pain is only on the right it could be your liver/ Biliary system causing the pain.
I can understand that it's getting tiresome but see ya docter about it and see what there say hope you get sorted
I get mucous plugging and it can feel like pain u describe.do u do lung clearance? Does it ease when you've used puffers and coughed up? X
