Hi Renaluna,
Welcome to my world here in the US. The very same thing happened to me, in the same way. I went for a lung biopsy and my lung collapsed. The attending Physician told me that out of 10 people...one would have a lung to collapse. That "one" was me. They worked with me all day. It finally started coming back up on it's own...thank the Lord! They had already told me if it didn't come back up by so and so time, I would have to stay overnight. That was back in Sept. 2011. They too got mine early. I had the left upper lung removed and I've gotten along pretty good since then. I can promise you...that had it not been for God, the people that prayed for me, the qualified surgeons, and my wonderful doctors, I would not be here today! Seriously. I did have the upper left lobectomy removed and I did 4 rounds of Chemo. Overall, I recovered quickly and was able to go back to work afterwards. I'm retired now. Yippee!! Now, 2 years ago, I had a recurrence, another tumor very small....they wanted to surgically remove it in my right lung but COPD was too bad and I couldn't be put to sleep anymore. So, I then did 4 rounds of radiation and recovered pretty quickly from that. When I went back for my CT Lung Scan at check up, a couple of weeks ago,...they found another new small nodule. So, I will go back in about 90 days for a repeat lung scan, then we go from there. It's probably off to the races again! I am very thankful for my one day at a time. Do not be discouraged. Let not your heart be troubled. I wish you well and will keep you in my prayers. You hang in there sweetness! You will look at life much differently now. This major ordeal caused me to slow down and "don't sweat the small stuff." Like I said, I never thought I would be here 6 years later after a lung cancer diagnoses....but here I am. I have always had the attitude---" I ain't going down without a fight!!" so you be a fighter too! Hugs, gg
Omgosh, what stage were you at when they first found it? And did you have COPD then?
I have it along with asthma and emphysema
I pray they can do surgery to cut it out with my weak lungs
And why oh why does it come back
Thank you for your reply and God bless you and continue to heal you
Rena
Also how long did it take your collapse long to completely heal my lung collapsed on Friday it is now Thursday they did not keep me in the hospital I just keep going and getting x-rays to make sure it's healing itself but tomorrow it will be a week
I hate to keep bugging but how old were you when they first found the cancer and were you a smoker?
Thanks Rena
Thinking of you, hopefully they can get on and sort it as soon as possible xx
Dear Renaluna Please try to stay positive So much can be done these days. I was diagnosed 17 years ago with lung cancer. They removed my right lung. I'm still here!!!! I know how you're feeling. When I was first diagnosed - everyone was, including me, devastated. One friend at work kept saying to me, "Nothing is set in stone" I held onto those words and I still do. Treatments are so much better now. Please try to stay positive. I send you lots of hugs over the ether and I'm thinking of you
Hugs

How very scared you must be. Let's hope that treatment is prompt! I hope you have lots of support. Lots of love
