The first thing to try and it needs no real learning. The mouth is for eating the nose is for breathing. Try to remember to breathe in and out of the nose. Especially when sleeping.

Good luck. I find ACB therapy most helpful. Pilates is also good for breathing.

Start with learning correct breathing technique e.g. diaphragm breathing most people only shallow breath using the upper chest muscles only. Try and get on a pulmonary rehab course or see a respiratory physio and find out about the huffing technique. If you don’t suffer from lung bleeds, ask you GP to prescribe a flutter device which can help with lung clearance
