Pulmonary exercises
Can you remember any of the exercises that you did at PR? Remember all the exercises are based on regular movements that you would do at home.
I do remember some scooter ,would like to watch those exercises on screen ,as I think it would be more encouraging, BLF has sent me two DVDs they would be great if they were running properly ,it would be great if this DVD was on u tube, the two DVDs were one of the same ,they both stall in the same place

Morning Alice, Can you find a Local " Breathe Easy Class" online. We created our Group so to continue the PR Exercises, this was over 4 years ago and we are still going strong, I do go to PR classes and BE Classes to live longer. So far So Good. I do have Equipment at Home, But it is harder to maintain a Home Plan, so off I go with my Oxygen Twice a week. You can request a PR CD for exercise from BLF, Look it up. Good Luck Hun. xxx
I fell off the wagon too!! Let's get back on it together! I was given a booklet with a chart to record my exercises at home.I got it out again yesterday. I bought a second hand stepper and have a foot exercise bike. I have recorded my favourite music to move to. I already had some weights, the other exercises were wall press ups and chair raises. I am starting again today (slowly!!😀) Good luck!
Try this you tube one.................
With the caveat that I am not an expert and don't know these sources validity and your condition, I used these links to help with my mum's Bronchiectasis. The video on youtube seems to be a reputable source and specific for Bronchiectasis

This is a good vidio as I have bronchiecstasis, thank you
Great.
There is also a piece of equipment that my mum got this week called an Acapella which is shown in the link below which the physio said does the same thing as the active cycle of breathing. You may or may not get this prescribed on the NHS. It seems to help too so I'm doing both with my mum.
Alice70, the exercises are in the BLF booklet, YOUR EXERCISE HANDBOOK. Perhaps you could request it.
I’m sure you will remember them very quickly.
It’s tough to do them at home, but persevere. No pain. No gain 😉
Here are some sites to try for exercises. I use oxygen when doing all my exercises. The first site is informative about breathing.
The best part of all the sites are that you choose what you can do seated or standing. This is all about movement and trying some that seem simple but they get our bodies going and using some muscles we have not really used in awhile. I hope this helps.
