I have changed from spiriva to Trimbo but noticed I get a very dry mouth and throat and itchy nose on Trimbo. Has anyone got any comments to make on Trimbo please ?

I have had Spiriva but not Trimbo - I am now on Fostair and all give me a dry mouth. I take other meds and get a dry mouth including morphine but I had a dry mouth before morphine. I always have an itchy nose, never thought about inhalers..

I'm on Trimbow and very pleased with it. I know its common sense and you must be following protocol but rinsing is a must and not breathing out through your nose 😊 I get a dry throat but got it with every inhaler. No itchy nose though

Hi I use Trimbow. I always brush my teeth after using the inhaler and have had no problems with it.

Hi, I have recently went from being on spiriva to trimbow and I found that I got a dry mouth and I found that it went away after around six weeks, I advise u to drink plenty of fluids as that will help with the dry mouth and dry throat, all other symptoms will go away after a few months.

Hi Richard, i was prescribed Spiriva for many years and found it worked well in combination with Symbicort. I’ve not had any problems with Trimbow, actually since taking it for about 18 months, I’ve been fairly well, and managed to stay clear of any chest infections and the dreaded Hospital stays! In my humble opinion, it’s really worth persevering with it, and hopefully you’ll find it as beneficial as i have. Also the best. Steve

When put in Trimbo by surgery I was told you MUST gargle well and rinse you mouth after using as it will give you problems if you dont

my husband’s on Trimbow and he’s plagued by an itchy rash after using it fir some time. In the leaflet that comes with it, it does say can cause rash. It’s so helpful to hear what everyone is on so we can arm ourselves with knowledge of alternatives.
