my day today

up at 08.00 (early for me,) I felt ok for a change, I took my son shopping again unusual for me normally my wife takes him, ok walking around Asda with my oxygen machine in trolley, got home put shopping away, had lunch, then went to try out a electric bike ( government backed training provided free) first time on a bike for over 45 years and I didn’t fall off, however I was now Carrying my oxygen machine(Inogen ONE G5) on my back and I could only last 15 minutes until I was completely exhausted , the electric bike experience was really good but it might take a while before I can cope with that much exercise, the rest of my day is a write off. Never mind tomorrow is another day, take care all.

Hey, well done you, I would be exhausted too! But it sounds like a really positive day, which is great 😀 I thought about an electric bike a while back, but it is really hilly here and I think it would have been toooooo much! You can build up up gradually and we're in the right season for it! Would your son be up for it too? Good luck with it and let us know how you get on! Laurie xx

It feels rare but so good to have an ok day. I was put on trimbow to try not so long ago and (touch wood) not going too bad. Although for some reason slept on my back last night and wheezing a bit today, like you said tomorrow is another day. 🙂

Well done you for having such a good attitude and getting out there. Going shopping with an oxygen machine and a child cant have been easy and to then try out your bike shows you have a positive attitude. You will master this but do be careful on your bike with the extra weight of your machine x

I have a throttle on my ebike so when I am exhausted or winded I can use the throttle only and don’t have to pedal. I hope the one you tried out had that as well. I really enjoy my ebike. I have always enjoyed riding bike but with COPD it obviously made it difficult but the ebike allows you to pedal when you want and use the throttle when you are tired.
