Does anyone use oxygen 24/7 because they live at an altitude that bothers them?

Sorry I can't answer your question, Breathe2sleep, but welcome to the forum.

My lung problem first became evident when I took a cable car to nearly the top of Mount Teide in Tenerife, so I know what a problem living at altitude can be for people with lung problems.

Have you lived at high altitude and had difficulty breathing for a long time?

I live at 5000’ now for 11 years. Been on oxygen for six or so - starting with nighttime. Doctors can’t give me a reason for my low oxygen. They’ve done every test. So we think MAYBE it’s the altitude. I don’t know.

It's good that they've ruled out the common problems, like heart issues, low iron and B vit levels, poor red blood cells, etc.

Are you able to exercise at all? It might be worth asking to see a physio to see if they can advise.
