Apparently there is to be a Spring vaccination programme. This was mentioned in January but since then I’ve seen nothing about it.

Anyone 75 & over or living in a care home is included. If you’re wondering whether you qualify under the Green Book provisions, you can click on the link & then tables 3 & 4 are set out on pages 19 & 26

Thanks Eleanor. I’ve been trying to find this information.

Me too! But they’ve only recently published this plan. I’ve had 6 jabs so far (one extra because of antibody deficiency) which does seem a bit OTT, but my lungs are such a mess I’m really scared of getting covid, and indeed long covid. I’ve been told I’d qualify for anti-viral infusions, which would help, but I’d rather not risk it 😕

Why is 75 and over, I have very severe COPD and am not 75 until August. Will l suddenly become more susceptible to catch COVID on my birthday. Surely the criteria used should be the same as for self shielding.

That’s why I referred to the relevant pages of the Green Book, the link to which is in the document. I’ve looked it up for you and table 3 on p19 says “Individuals with a severe lung condition, including those with poorly controlled asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) including chronic bronchitis and emphysema; bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung fibrosis, pneumoconiosis and bronchopulmonary dysplasia”

thanks, helpful. I’m seeing my consultant hopefully on Friday, haven’t seen her since covid, was booked to see her last December, but she rang me that morning to cancel because of increasing flu and covid. Im not going to hospital clinic but to a much smaller chest clinic, haven’t been there since age 18 when X-ray caused big puzzle because my heart on “wrong side”. Jean x

I have decided no more vaccinations for covid. I will continue my annual flu jab but that's it. Everyone has to make their own choices. Good luck xx💕⚘👍

Agree , I also won’t be getting booster following injury from initial dose, but as you say we all make our own decisions based on the information we have 😊

We’re all different aren’t we? I was fine with both Pfizer and Moderna but the original Astra Zeneca put me in bed for several days

Me too Garshe, I left out my last booster saying thats enough for me x

Same here . We have to stop at some point. I dont believe in pumping all these different vaccines in our bodies. AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Moderna first two great but Moderna did not agree. What will be next. That's why I have decided no more. Xx💕⚘🌾Sheila

They’re not starting until April, and care home residents & staff will be first. They might not finish until June. I think NHS England & the JCVI probably know more than the person on the phone at 119

Oh you’re more than welcome, Bronwen. I’ve been wondering for a while when we’d get some concrete information, so decided to do some digging!
