Pet scan results

I had a call from the hospital this morning, the scan has shown up small traces of dye and they can't say if it's cancer or not. They gave me two options too wait 4 months and have a CT scan or have a biopsy so I've opted for the biopsy. So still none the wiser xx

Gah, what a pain. I think that’s the right call, to have the biopsy. I hope you don’t have to wait long, did they say? Trying to be positive about incredibly disappointing news… it doesn’t sound likely to be cancer if they can’t tell! & are prepared to wait 4 months before further investigations. They sound fairly optimistic it isn’t. But you need to know one way or the other so you can put this behind you and get on with your life!

Thank you that's what I thought and if it turns out to be cancer then hopefully its in the early stages and treatable xx

I'd go for the biopsy too! Why give something another 4 months to develop further (if it's going to, that is) and possibly face a further delay at the end of that time. I'd definitely go for the 'bird in the hand' option.

I don’t think I could wait four months for the results from a CT scan, I hope and pray it is not cancer. Good luck.
