I had the pet scan on the 3rd of this month, the nurse who did the scan said the results would be available in a weeks time but I'm still waiting and wondering if that's a good sign. X

PET Scan
Hi. I honestly wouldn't worry, the results from scans are terribly delayed at the moment. My husband has nodules on his lung which are being monitored. He got a CT scan and was informed he would have the results in 3 weeks, it's now been 6 weeks. I contacted the consultant's secretary who advised they are now taking up to 12 weeks, it's unacceptable but powerless to do anything.
O my goodness that's terrible the NHS is in such a mess xx
I had a gastro copy and a colon scan 6 and 8 weeks ago and heard nothing. I rang secretary yesterday, only answering machine as working from home. I left details so waiting for reply but expect I will have to ring again. You think that all must be ok, hopefully, but after watching the news on Monday night saying some people have been delayed too long to receive treatment does not help..
Scan results very rarely come back that quick, however some of the tests done at hospital by Consultant request are sent to the clinic computer allowing the consultant to see them quickly till the report comes through. So hopefully yours will be the shortest wait. Allowing treatment to commence quickly if necessary. Best Wishes
I had wait over s month for my results. There might be a delay getting your results .If you dont hear by beging of december see if your dr can case it. My gp tried to see if she czn get the scan up but it was blocked by hospital.
My recent ct scan took eight weeks.
