Our friends had their boat built to their specification in west coast of Florida. We flew out there to join them in the trials to ensure everything was working properly, sails correctly shaped etc. To get to boatyard had to sail up coast, that meant radioing ahead and requesting bridges could be raised for us to sail underneath. Recall requesting it in my best English. Happy memories, Jean

yes, sorry, have lots of great memories, hope you do. Jean xxx
Yes Jean I am also fortunate to have wonderful memories My husband worked in The Middle East ,Far East and Asia and we spent 40 yrs living in wonderful destinations and making lovely friends .xxSheila 🙏🥰💕⚘
That sounds nice and different. Though on occasions joined my late husband for weekends away when he’d been attending Europe confer ence in various cities, got to see Madrid, Zurich, Paris,Nuremberg. In January each year he had to go to US to work a week at exhibitions in various cities. After few years we decided I would fly out at end of exhibition, hire car and explore for week. Went to Las Vegas, San Francisco, Miami. Happy Days. Jean x
That's fantastic Jean . Travel broadens the mind . Both my daughters went to school in Dubai and Oman and speak Arabic fluently. My youngest daughter worked for Gulf Air as cabin crew , lived in Bahrain and travelled the World (photo added) I used to get cheap flights called ID 90 and travelled to see her often
Sometimes going on blocks with her and staying in the Hotel with the crew. Great times . xxSheila ✈✈💕⚘
Great you could get to see your daughter easily and could travel with her. Hope you’re able to do it now. Jean xxx
I am fortunate as both my daughters live close My youngest lives with us with her daughter Darcy as she is now a single Mum . My eldest daughter lives with her husband 5mins away and my Grandson with his Fiance 45 mins away. They are all around me and we spend all our time together. xxSheila 👍💕⚘
That’s so good. My older daughter who has advanced MS lives 70 miles away, i haven’t been well enough to drive to see her since my July Birthday, when my younger daughter took me. Neither have partners or children. My daughter with MS her then husband said he couldn’t live with disabled person, tried to drive her out of house that had been modified for her needs. She is now on end of life plan and needs live in carer. My younger daughter lives 25 miles away, comes to help me few hours three times a week, she has several health problems, and I’m very grateful for her help. I don’t have any grandchildren which is probably just as well. Jean x
Oh! Jean My sympathy to your daughter. My daughter gave up Gulf Air moved in with her fiance. He wanted a baby then when she was 9weeks pregnant decided he didnt want the family after all I brought her home with me. We were going to sell our house for our retirement but now have Hayley and my Granddaughter Darcy living here. It's a large house and plenty of room Darcy is now 14yrs old and a real stunner.she keeps me young in my 78yrs,. We do the school run as Hayley works part time. So pleased we have given them a home. Darcy and me xxSheila 💕⚘
Thanks for photo, both look lovely and alike. How nice to have them with you, and yes school run etc will hopefully keep you young! I tell myself that age is in mind, but then something knocks on head to remind me I’m no longer 25! I was only child as was my late husband, don’t have any close relatives, and too many friends have died. My mother lived to 111, don’t think I’ll be same because of my PCD. x
You both look gorgeous. xxx
great memories x
What happy memories you must have.
Thanks, yes most happy. We sailed boat in Gulf off Florida’s west cost, sleeping aboard. One morning I was at helm and following sat navs route, we got stuck on sand bank, tide was going out. The two men got anchors out and managed to winch us off. On reflection I was perhaps little close to shore, but never completely trusted sat navs since. Had to take boat back to manufactures for inspection, fortunately no damage, except bow sprit very slightly. Happy days, all other three on board now dead. Jean xxx
So jealous but i wish you all a wonderful sailing experience! 🐿🤑🤢⛵🌎
Beautiful! I love Florida. When my parents were alive they owned a houseboat and it was
also a great experience.....a lot of fun and stories!
hi, yes I like Florida, as well as sailing, have visited Everglades in January/ February when water levels were low, all alligators grouped together in small pools, or out on road blocking people driving through! Did warden guided walk, in places up my knees in water, I’m only 5 feet tall. Jean x
Wow! What an interesting life you have led. 🥰🥰🥰xxx
