lower rib pain. Help!

hey Ive bronchiectasis so ive been doing cheat clearence a lot. Like a lot. All day coughing due to fear of infection as I earlier got effected with pseudomonas.

Now due to coughing my lower ribs have been streched and whenever I breath or even cough a light or laugh I have this sharp pain.

It started to give me fever about 101 F so I went to my doc he said it was a chest infection which is mild but likely to have rib muscle sprain due to excessive coughing.

He gave me orphenadrine citrate along with paracetamol and some antibiotics. I dont want to take orphenadrine as google says it might give you hallucinations and a fast heartbeat.

I already have a HR of 102 bpm maybe due to antibiotics so I am feared. Tried some of the stretches on youtube but nothing helped. Any suggestions?

do as your dr advises, he knows more about you than google. You never know it may help. Chest clearing exercises should realy only be done once or twice a day unless you have an infection but trying to continuasly do them are counter productive and can cause pain in ribs ect

Orphenadrine is suitable for most patients. The likelihood of side effects depend upon how your body responds to it. If you will not try it, how would you come to know if it is suiting you or not?

Plus, our doctors have knowledge greater than google. If you have any issue you can discuss the side effects with them. Wish u best recovery

i understand your thinking. I have same condition and pseudonomas. It seems like a good idea. However exceds8work you are putting in can increase your mucus. 2 or 3 timed specific physio is sufficient and recommended. I use 3% saline solution nebuliser and an Areobika too.
