You know after you eat and u start running or walking and you get that side stitch pain like a cramp in your side? Well I got one that won’t seem to go away fully. It goes away if I sit down but as soon as I start walking for a minute the pain comes back. Been like this for about a week. Can’t be normal right? Might schedule a dr appointment this week to get it checked out. I’m thinking possibly a cyst or hernia? I’m only 23 years old but iv got a friend that’s my age he had one on his groin. Idk any thoughts?

Good idea to get it checked out by your GP. Nobody on here is medically qualified I’m afraid so see your doctor.

I know but I’d still advise you to see your doctor just to get checked out. Wishing you well Raginggamer. Xx

your'e absolutely right to consider getting checked out at the doctor - we're not medics here , we're patients with various lung diseases so cant diagnose.

just saying, two of my children had hernias in their 20s and another was born with one & had an operation at 2 years. If you have got a hernia it mustn't be ignored but really, you must get checked it rarelyworks to self diagnose. Good luck

was the operations serious or a in and out?

2 year old was in overnight.

Son in 20s opted to be a day patient, only because his mum was around to take him home! There's no way he would have been able to work for a few days.

years ago I had a severe stitch pain, doctors were baffled. Put up with it for months , it turned out to be grumbling appendix. It wasn't found becausemy appendix was further over than normal. Worth noting that some people also have the appendix on the 'wrong' side. Hence why you MUST see a doctor, it might not be either

I’d go to my Dr..and discuss what’s going on..if pain is on right side under rib cage, could be gsllstone..that’s what happened to me

it’s on left side under rib. Just really annoying. Going to get seen when possible

Definitely see a doctor. I have had abdominal pain which turned out to be herniated bowel and needed urgent surgery. GP will be able to check you out.

Also it is quite common for people with asthma to have reflux although normally this isn't painful and can usually be controlled with medication, but can be associated with stomach hernia. As you've had it a week get it checked out. Take a note of any other new symptoms too to tell the doctor.

I get costochondritis - where the little muscles between the ribs ache because I've stretched them too much. This was diagnosed by my GP. A pain like you described needs to be checked out but may well be nothing too nasty. A hot water bottle helps ease mine.
