hi.

has anyone been given Itraconazole for this.

I've got multiple allergies fungus being one of them.

they said if this drug doesn't work I will be able to have Allergy shots.

I'm constantly getting chest infections sometimes the Steroids and Antibiotics don't work.

So they are trying this drug.

I have been taking it 3 weeks and don't feel any better, just tired and worn out.

I have been on itraconazole on 2 occasions for ABPA (aspergillosis). I didn’t feel any better on them , but when bloods were taken, it showed that the level of infection had decreased. this was a few years ago when the guidelines said that maximum period to be on it was 18 months. I don’t know if that has changed. I did put weight on with them though.

Hi .Thank you for your reply.

They are only keeping me on them for a while, until I have my allergy shots.

I feel very tired on them, my breathing is a little better, but I don't feel well at all.

The specialist are trying to help, as they don't want to give me steroids again, as I have had to many in the past.
