Oh no! That’s horrible news. What a shame xxx

It happened last year around the same time four people died and a few made homeless . Were already on amber alert here . Everywhere dry and it doesn't take much to start a blaze

Well the news saying getting under control so . Just dreading if we get another bad one I'm surrounded by trees from mountains 😂 three sides the ones from Turkey are far enough away

Dreadful for the people and of course the animals, will not forget the pictures from last year of the koalas in Australia. On the lighter side, have a vision of you beetling to the sea, as did the residents of Pompeii.

in reply toSORRELHIPPO

Well the seas close by so I'm ok with that . I'm off to the beach tomorrow morning maybe have a swim

Not good for anyone with lung problems.Years ago would avoid travelling in Malaysia when Indonesian farmers did their slash and burn crop rotation. The air in Malaysia was unbreathable with schools shut etc. This is a wildfire and just as awful stay safe and keep out of the smoke!

in reply toCloudancer

Clear skies this morning so the Turks got it under control thankfully.

I hope the Turks have done better this year. These wild fires are appalling. Stay safe as you can when there is smoke in the air. xxx

in reply toAlberta56

We had two bad ones here like the Turks in the same place as the last time . Sometimes it can be down to plain stupidity like chucking a ciggie out a car window or an empty glass bottle . And not always Turks doing it but tourists aswell

We had a huge fire in the midwest. It was blamed on a camper who burned his soiled toilet paper! 🤨

Highly flammable must have eaten something gassy 😂😂😂😂

Remember that happening when I stayed there in 2007 or so. The sky went dark and choky as we sailed back to Rhodes from Symi.

in reply toErgendl

We had it worse last year from Turkey and it was same place
