Still extremely hot the wind is a hot one . Still fires raging in Turkey and mainland Greece . Ours is sorted but as expected lots of damage my heart goes out to anyone who's suffered from the devistating effects of a fire .

It was scary but all is undercontrol here but it's still the heat causing problems , from 2 until five the temperature is at its highest the air quality is still poor at the moment but improving thankfully. Me and my dad just get on with it 😅

No but the heat works wonders on my back 🤣🤣 , my dad just shouted me a couple of minutes ago just to ask me for a sticky toffee pudding 🤣🤣 he may be off proper food but never off sweet stuff 🤣🤣🤣

Still looks like there is a lot of room for improvement but good to know that your village is safe. I hope that it stays that way. So many lives affected, not only in Europe, by fires and other extreme weather events.

The whole world as gone crazy , yesterday we totalled 17 earthquakes from 4.2 up to 5.7 just off our coast line . Sysmologists are expecting a large one soon so hopefully their wrong . Yes clear skies all day heat was intense but seeing the sun go down that colour didn't look right . 👍

I think your very brave to be so nonchalant about it all , I’d be having a break down by now 😳🥴

You can't argue with mother nature simple 😜 talking of simple just tried to get a photo of one of my kittens sat on the roof of the car outside my home it had the biggest moth I've seen sat right on the kittens head and the daft cat just sat there like oh it's my new hair piece 🤣🤣🤣 , if you ask any Greek on the island if their worried about the earthquakes they will all say the same thing why worry you can't stop it we have so many , 256 so far this year .

Yes we keep ticking along 🤣🤣 well the weather man on TV said temperature tomorrow will be 35degrees and cloudy 😂 but I haven't seen a weatherman who is ever accurate last year was a laugh it was November and he said that we were going to have a snow flurry the island hasn't had snow in sixty years 😂😂😂

Glad you and your dad are safe! So many disasters around the world . Floods and wildfires. I live in the US in the Midwest ... there are wildfires burning in western US and also Canada . We are suffering with poor air quality and have not seen the actual sun for days. Smoke haze!! I have asthma and COPD so limiting outdoor time. You have it so much worse... I should not complain !!! It is Unreal how far the smoke from these fires can affect the air quality . We all need air free from the smoke!!!

I totally agree with you , it's such a global catastrophe , we've not left much of a legacy for future generations , when I was young and at school we.didnt hear about global warming or the ozone but now look at the youth of today like Greta who is challenging world leaders because of the damage being caused , the Amazon rainforest lungs of the planet there a bit like my lungs shrinking daily . What can we do though .

It sounds quite horrific . But I gave to thank you as had I not seen your post I wouldn’t have contacted an old friend in Cyprus to see how she was. They were evacuated when the fire was 50 m from their house - luckily there was only smoke damage. Terrifying .

How awful for them. At least they only ended up with smoke damage.

Glad things are improving for you as the fires are brought under control. Hoping the earthquakes don't cause too much further damace.
