How on earth do you keep Stan, the man contained ?
My beastie would be wild with excitement. I mean itβs true that sheβll bark at a raindrop, but still . . . either he or you, must be quite masterful with restraint.

Very easy when you work with them on how to ignore the livestock Stan and the other dogs I walk can be within 5 ft of ponies and donkeys etc all day long and not bother them or be fussed they are around ...
We use the forest sensibly as the livestock were here first and we are visiting..if we have any dogs that act up or be silly around the livestock I don't walk them .them .. the younger ones and pups are kept on leads until they are aware or trained to avoid ...
There's a few places in the forest where the ponies don't go some of the enclosures.. but in here you will find deer π¦... so literally you have to be aware of everything and lead any dogs up if your not happy safest bet ...
Stan gets very excited around birds so during nesting he's popped on the lead or walked away from nesting areas as lots nest on the ground π₯°

My girl is a wee bit of border collie and a majority of Labrador. I should have clarified, I meant whilst youβre driving. Shellyβs a keener. Every exciting thing must be vocalized, just in case I might not have noticed that which has caught her eye. Sheβs especially good at sharing, and I get poked with her nose through my seat belt and a bark in my ear.
I live in an area where there is open country for miles, wheat fields mainly and her great joy is hunting for mice and voles. Very seldom is there any livestock, but ducks and geese are sometimes in stream beds and as she plops herself in the water theyβll take flight. Oh, and the water, she shares that too.

Takes me back to the times I used to drive from home in Wimbledon to Downton where I'd stay one week in four. Those gorgeous roads, views & animals were my reward after the horrible M3.

Brilliant jam to be caught up in BB, dont you just love it, although I'll bet the one on the outside going into labout didnt love it so much and hope she was alright trying to keep up with the rest of the herd x
