Finally had my first appointment at the respiratory clinic at the local hospital. I got a leaflet regarding biological treatments. And a blood test too. Hopefully things change from here

I know a few people on bialogics for asthma and they all say the results have been very good

🤞 you get a biological. I have been on mepolezumab for a few years now and it has changed my life. No more coughing, very rare chest infections. Able to lead a normal, active life. Hope it works well for you.

Whats weird is I had a normal feno test. The eosinophils are raised though. Right now its just random coughing fits out of no where, tiredness, foggy head, constant sinus issues, wheeze etc. Ventolin does help but I'm constantly needing it

Hoping this does the trick for you

If you get the opportunity to take a biological drug take it would be my advice. I've tried a couple and found Mepolizumab was absolutely fantastic for me although I have COPD and not asthma I have a lot of asthma traits ( raised eosinophils)

Biological drugs are currently not available for COPD sufferers and therefore the only way I’ve had them is in trials , which I do when ever I can especially biological ones . One biological drug is about to come available as soon as August for COPD but could be as late as December and I’ve been told I will be recommended for it . Forgot to say I believe for asthma it’s one injection every 4 weeks and for severe COPD it’ll be twice a month

I can’t wait , best of luck ❤️

is it an injection? I did a trial last year - 2 injection in my stomach every month - sadly I got the placebo but some candidates were singing and dancing! I say this because someone mentioned injection.

I’ve just finished trialling a tablet daily and I swear I had the real deal as I’ve come off it now and feel breathless again… I wish someone would wave a magic wand for copd
