Post nasal drip …..and some blood in spit in mornings

About six or eight times during past few months in total I have had a slight trace of blood in my spit on waking . I have no cough . X ray is clear . But I am going for CT scan and appointment at hospital in March .

Hope it is not something serious and can’t stop worrying .

I feel well generally and have not lost weight . Doctor said my chest is clear when she checked it .

Has anyone else had similar ?

Thanks

Thanks so much for your reply which has eased my mind a bit x

I’m not joking, are you completely sure it’s not from your teeth or mouth? I only mention this because I was finding blood in spit but it turned out to be my gum. Still happens occasionally, dentist says it’s between back teeth but doesn’t know why!

Because I have 24/7 oxygen I frequently get slight nosebleeds and have had the symptoms you describe. Apparently mine is from post nasal drip and I also suffer from an extremely runny nose and sneezing when I take my oxygen off to wash and dress.

You need to try to minimise the post nasal drip. Have you tried a nasal rinse or sterimar? Blood could just be from your sinuses.
