Slow recovery.

Happy. New Year to everyone, especially, those living alone in these worrying times.

My lungs seem to be improving from the infection, still slowly.

I’ve had some minor victories, vacuumed the bedrooms yesterday and started on the post Christmas tidy up.

I was concerned yesterday,we went to my sons,we had to park about 300 yards away.

It was all right going, but returning to the car I felt as though all the air had been sucked out of me.

It took ages,we hadn’t taken the oxygen because we usually park near the house.will be sure to take it next time.

Phone appointment with consultants in early January.have started my list.

Happy new year Oshgosh. Glad things are improving for you albeit slowly. Good luck euth the phone appointment. Take care. Xxx💜💕😘

Dear Oshgosh, happy new year to you too, and I’m very relieved to see your infection is gradually improving. 300yds is ambitious for you atm so don’t be too disheartened by that scary feeling. Don’t let that consultant off the phone until you’ve given him/her a good grilling & got answers and, hopefully, a plan for the next few months x

They keep mentioning Nintendanib.I’m a bit worried about taking more medication, side effects etc,but have to try.

I also have questions for the rheumatologist. Am down to 16 mgm of Pred today.

I’m taking slowly if I don’t feel good,a d I’ve reduced that day,I just take the missing mgm.I hope that makes sense?

Thing is I forget about the state of my lungs.

I spoke to my GP,last year.( the one I can have a proper conversation with.

We’re discussing DNR status.

I said I didn’t want resuscitation,if my heart stopped.

He replied,it wouldn’t work with your lungs.

I appreciated his honesty.everyone else Shilly shallots around the subject.

With my son it’s like the elephant in the room.thanks for the reassurance about the walking distance Happy. New year xx

Sons do that. Both mine change the subject although they are very helpful with day to day living.

Happy New Year my love good to see you got out I really understand it when you say it feels like the air has been sucked out it's such a terrible feeling .I had a lucky escape I decided to visit my Son daughter in-law and 4 grandkids on Christmas morning 1st time I've seen them since Dec 18th 2020 lovely morning with them

But got a phone call news year's Eve they've all got COVID I am ok as the think it was contracted on boxing Day from another relative visiting them .wow so lucky for me not them they say the symptoms they have are terrible to cope with and there only in the late 30s just shows how easy it's spread

Take care hope all goes well at your hospital app xx

Happy New Year to you and yours. Hope your infection keeps on going away. That was a total bummer about the lack of parking- glad you made it back to the car. Take it easy today. xxx
