Hi, I’ve had bronchiectasis for at least 50 years, yes it does make feel bit tired. I’ve been on Antibiotics most of this year they also have tiring effect. I have PCD, see explanation on here. Best wishes xx

Hello Clarice. Welcome if you are new here. I have bronchiectasis and certainly feel fatigued a lot of the time. In fact I tend to drop off to sleep quite often during the day. Thankfully I do not get fluey symptoms, which would really finish me off. I don't know if somebody will be able to explain why you get them or whether it's worth seeking medical advice. Good luck in getting rid of them. xxx

Yes sort of. I dont get the flu like symptoms however I was diagnosed in 2016 by GP with CFS, chronic fatigue syndrome. Looking back I believe it began in 2014 after several years of continuous infections plus pneumonia ×5 The only thing I can do is strictly pace myself, take supplements and read Dr Sarah Myhills book for support/ideas.

It's utterly depressing, maddening and frustrating- especially as I have the misfortune to almost always look well

Are you sure you dont have an infection? If you have a productive cough I suggest you get a sample into the doctor. Better still if you can get an appointment and have your chest listened to . I have had bronch for about 15 years and often feel fatigued but if I felt fluey I might wonder if I had an underlying infection. Everyone is different though. Hope you get to the bottom of it.
