Hi Joseph please let me know you get on with them,I'm thinking of trying them myself. Have a lovely day and take care π Bernadette and Jack π xxxxxx
I have tried nasal strips and for me they were a waste of time. But we are all different and without trying them you wonβt know if they help. You have nothing to loose by trying them!
I have been using them for 6 months and find them excellent, Iβm able to breathe through my nose which stops the chest rattle when breathing through my mouth. I find the best are breathe right original as they stick really well. I suffer from bronchiaectacis and and permanent sinusitis.
Hi Joseph, I have used the breathe right strips not so much for congestion but because my severe emphysema means I can only breathe in for a second or two. One of my nostrils is always blocked and by using a strip it opens it up and I can breathe a lot easier.
I use Sleepeze strips as they are cheaper (I get them through Amazon) and they do help me. They open up my nasal passages enough for me to breath properly. They are also a bit softer than 'Breathe Right Strips'. I've had nasal problems for years & I also use a saline rinse - there are various things to try - eg try googling 'netti pots' and and there's also a company called 'NeilMed' which does a bottle which is what I use. If you do end up with a DIY solution remember to use sterilised/boiled water and do clean the kit.
Sorry Joseph, my memory gets worse as I get older! - I completely forgot to mention that I'm on a daily steroid nasal spray called Avamys which I get on prescription.
Sorry for the delay. I still use Avamys, but the results don't seem to be as good as they used to be. I think I should go back to my gp to see if there's anything better/more modern. I use steam inhalation (I use a facial sauna) with menthol crystals and eucalyptus/olbas oils on a day-to-day basis and then use Avamys before I go to bed.I also use nasal strips. If things are bad I'll use an over the counter nasal spray for a few days.
