coughing for 3 months

i was taking lorvacs xl 1.5 prolonged release tablets. each tablet contains 1.5 m/g indapamide. i started taking them 3 months ago and since then I've had a cough that can last up to 2/3 hours all through the day and night I'm heaving and fill like my airways are shutting down it makes it hard to breath I've seen the doctor and they they said ive had a chest infection (i have asthma c.o.p.d and h.b.p. and heart disease ) they gave me a course of antibiotics and steroids which helped . i kept saying i thought it was these new tablets they put me on but they said no its not them as a last resort to stop my coughing i stopped taking them and a week later i haven't coughed how i was for 2 weeks has any one else had this problem and what do you think t.i.a

I haven't tried that medication, but know that we're all different, and some of us do have odd side effects from some types of meds. Have you checked the information leaflet that should have come with the Lorvacs to see what known side effects it has?

I know nothing about this medication, so am not qualified to pontificate, but there was a recent flurry of posts on this site from people who had suffered from urinary problems after being put on a certain med and had all been told by their doctors that the medication was not responsible. Sounds similar?

I take indapamide 2.5mg with no ill effects.its hard to know at present as steroids+ antibioticss cld have cleared infection/inflammation.i suppose if u recommence thm and quickly develop same symptoms,id think it was thm.keep a record ti show gp
