Just insist on a test to set your mind at rest.

Hope you manage to get your test, have a lovely day and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx

My understanding is that spirometry is still not currently being undertaken at most GP surgeries due to covid. Guidance has been released as of April around reinstating primary care spirometry, but routine spirometry where a patient remains stable and is responding appropriately to treatment is considered low priority. Assuming that a surgery is able to meet the required safety provisions to reinstate testing - and not all will be able to - the general consensus is spirometry should primarily be offered to those where the results would change their disease management. That would be patients who have been persistently unwell or are not responding to treatment.

I haven't either and it has been 2 and a half years for me. I hope you get one.

I am sure given your age that the GP's surgery is not that stretched that they couldn't organise a home visit by the nurse if only for a general check over and a listen to your chest.what has bcome of the health service we used to know,?Please ask them to be a little more proactive in their care for you.

Best wishes Ski's and Scruff's. x

Completely agree Mike. Today I’ve been assertive and feel I’m getting somewhere and Pete has a GP appointment this afternoon face to face! He has bleeding from his mouth but we don’t know why. Xxx

Well done you Carole and I hope it's just something simple like a minor dental or gum issue that can easily be resolved? 🙃😻👍xx

Dentist said it’s not gum related but we’ll see. Thanks Mike xxx🤗

It's been over 3yrs since my last Spirometry Test at hospital. The last time I saw my GP and visited my Surgery was over 4yrs ago as I contact my Respiratory Team if I need to discuss anything, as they are better qualified than my GP. I do visit Surgery once a year for flu jab but see the Practice nurse. Hope you get seen soon xxSheila 👍🙌💕.
