Hi everyone well it's nearly time to go back to college. Have been on my new inhaler for few weeks and it has really helped can do more than I could before but the downside of this is that even more tired and when fatigue sets in its hard to do anything but rest do others have the same problem.

So glad the new inhaler is working well for you, which one were you prescribed?

I don't have ob however I recall in the early days of diagnosis fatigue was a huge problem, I still get fatigued now but then I am much older and likely I have learnt to live with it and make adjustments accordingly.

It must be very difficult for you at such a young age and attending College. Take breaks as you need to and when you can to recover, make sure you get your full 8 hours sleep each night.

Best wishes to you for your future.

Yes I do for sure and have to pace my self. I have CFS so its the only way I can cope. For people who don't 'get it' ie my family I have to remind them & explain I start the day or week with an envelope full of energy, if I use it all up then it takes a few days of rest calm and peace to refill it. Another analogy is a deflate balloon, when its gone all stretched floppy & useless - that's a good one for little grandchildren. 😴If you're actually back in college it would be pretty tiring so do look after yourself and your immune system .....Good luck to both you and Jerry Maren ××

Just want to wish you well Pokermon. Pete is tired most of the time so it’s a good job he doesn’t have to work or go to college. Try and get as much rest as you can. Good luck to you. Xxxx👍😘

Good luck for the new term at college, when you do get tired listen to your body and rest.

I know that’s a bit boring but you don’t want to crash and make yourself poorly.

Before I had to give up work I used to close my office door put the engaged sign up and have a ‘power nap’ felt much better after that, not sure what my boss thought!

As peege said, you have to remember to pace yourself. It's easy to overdo it when we are prescribed something that really helps or on days we feel better than usual. With taking a mental note you will learn what you can do without overtiring yourself.

Good luck with your return to college.

It's good to know that your new inhaler is helping you, but, as you say, it's tempting to overdo it when you are feeling so much better. Only you can tell when your 'battery' needs recharging (good old Mum!) so you will need to pay attention to your body and take the breaks you need.

It is hard to do when all around you are running around on full speed, but better to take some short breaks and continue than to wait until you've completely run out and collapse with exhaustion.

It's good to hear from you today and I look forward to hearing how you get on. xx Moy

Glad the Fostair is working well for you. All the best for going back to college. Just keep trying to pace yourself, though it's not easy. I still make a mess of that sometimes.
