Have weathered the double worries of a blood clot that was neve found, my leg is still swollen after weeks and painful.
Then diagnosed with ‘ chunky gallstones’ (trying to get over the chunky?)
Have been given an appointment for general surgery consultation October end. only medical advice given by phone was if excessive pain ring 999.
Have become breathless, (am on a summer holiday break from Azithromycin instructed by my consultant who has now discharged me.for doing well with my Bronchiecstatis managemen, .have taken rescue antibiotic, slightly better but breathing is worse, Temperature is zig zagging from low to high but I am chilly all the time,
Alao more worryingly when i bend a popping feeling in my stomach area, then a whoosh as if it has re-inflated.pains in side and sleeping only in 2 hour stints.
Sent an email to my Gp and was sent back a reply to say using wrong email, should be e consult which I cannot find,
Tried 111 and had red box on final screen stating need to phone GP immediately, feel like the Prisoner, going round in circles.cannot phone, e mail not accepted,
Feeling very scared and down and no one to ask for advice.

This is a very difficult situation for you Sops, check your letters from the hospital for an email address and don't hesitate to contact your consultants secretary by phone.
From what you are saying, letters from the hospital departments which checked you for blood clots and gallstones should provide you with a telephone and email contact.
As 111 told you to call your GP asap do that and say 111 told you to do so you need proper medical advice to be sure everything is ok.
As previously mentioned call emergency if you experience excessive pain.
Hi, thsnk you for your helpful and thoughtful reply. It meant a lot to me.I was sent to the hospital for an ultrasound check for blood clots as an emergency.then sent home and taken off apixaban when no clot was found. The following day I was given a blood test at the doctors and an ultrasound for the following day was booked at my local hospital. I was again given Apixaban I was then phoned by said hospital who said they refused to see me as i had already had one ultrasound despite my blood tests were positive.
When i was being examined by my GP she touched my stermum and i jumped, said I had had this pain for some time but it had not increased,
Was then sent for ultrasound and gall stones perceived.
Have had no guidance since then other than to ring 999 if pain increases.
The breathless ness started last week and i am now considering putting myself back on Azithromycin as i do not seem to have a consultant currently.will speak to the Hospital tomorrow to ascertain who I am to be allocated to.
Have to say what a mess, the hospital staff told me I did not have Bronch as it was not showing on their x-ray. (lumber x ray) and i explained that this was usual but it would be shown on a CAT scan, so even that after all these years seems to be in question?
Call 111. They can get in touch with gp surgery if required. However is now 16:00 on a Friday so they may get an out of hours doctor to talk with you.If any worse you may need to call 999 for hospital support.
No Contact with surgery so am going into battle on Monday. Struggled to-get up the CO-OP slope today with breathing issues and terrible headache. And only bought a loaf!Thsnk you for your reply, it meant a lot.
I do hope you have now been seen to Sops, disgraceful you were left to deal with this alone. If you still are in the same position then call 999 and let the hospital deal with it x
Its hard standing your corner when you are feeling unwell, you need somebody to stand up for you but if you are on your own then you have to muster the courage , go give it to them, we are all behind you here x
Hello sops it's no good feeling so poorly ,I do hope you get seen soon,I cannot seem to take a break of more than a week before I feel really ill without the azithromycin so I'm never able to have a complete break from it, last year the consultant even upped the dose from 250mg to 500mg continuously now otherwise pneumonia will set itself in my system.
Nice to read your post. Yes i am concerned about pneumonia, have had it before, took 3 months to feel slightly better. Have been discharged by my consultant so have decided to ring the hospital- John Radcliffe on Monday. What with a swollen leg, gall stones et al i am feeling rather miserable. Thanks for caring, i don't know why he took me off Azithromycin Having had Bronch and Asthma for years so I need to-fight back.
